Ok, but who are you?

I like to refer to myself as a Kitchen Witch, since most of my Magicks and all of my ingredients come right from the pantry. Celtic-Heathen Kitchen Witch, if I had to give a full label. I am very open, wearing my heart and soul on my sleeve. My Spirituality is a big part of who I am and how I live. I see Magick in the Sunrise and in each blooming flower. I live life as if each day is a blessing and I try to get the most out of every passing moment. I live a holistic and natural lifestyle, eating whole foods as much as possible and putting as little chemicals into my body as possible. Proudly walking the Pagan Path showing the kids to do the same.

I grew up in NJ but realized I was a misplaced Southerner the first time I visited the Raleigh area. I still have some of the accent and much of the attitude that is found in Central NJ.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, known here as Hubby; we are parents to our children, F and N, aka Witchlette and Witchling respectively, and our fur babies, M, the boxer and E, the pug.

My Craft Name is Lunapo, which is a conglomerate of “Luna” and “Lupo” meaning Moon Wolf. My Goddess is the Moon and I have an affinity for all canines. I have become close to the deities on the Norse pantheon. Thor made himself known to me first, then Frigg. I have begun devloping a relationship with Odin and am beginning to develop a relationship with Sif. I enjoy communing with Hod.

I am not “closeted” at all, but I also do not advertise my path depending on whom I am around and what setting I am in. My family knows and understands my path, or they are blissfully unaware. I used to hide things from them for fear of their reactions, but I let go of the fear and started wearing my pentacle or family functions and the drama in my head never played out. I am a high school teacher so I wear less obvious symbols to work but if asked, I explain my beliefs as tactfully as possible.

I am an active council member of the Church of the Earth in Raleigh where I am the Chairperson for Family Programs and Education.

Being a witch in the Bible Belt takes a lot of courage. I admire you for it. I am a retired Christian pastor who has belatedly become attracted to Paganism and Witchcraft, and I know how difficult it can be. Blessings to you.

I just happened to stumble across your blog tonight and I wanted to tell you how wonderful it is! I am fairly new to the pagan path (I’ve been interested for many years but never actually claimed it as my own until recently) and I’m still trying to find my practices. Your posts are so inspirational. As I’ve been reading I’ve been experiencing that tingle that lets me know that I’m resonating with something. Thank you for writing about your practices and helping me see how I can incorporate my spiritual nature into my daily life.
    Blessed be
