Lokiblot

Published April 1, 2017 by Lunapo

April Fool’s day.

I very recently learned some hold this day sacred to Loki…Makes sense! Lokiblot, as it is called, is likely a modern adaptation of a silly “holiday” given new meaning.

Folks do pranks to each other, sometimes in good jest sometimes with malicious intent. Sometimes it’s no big deal, often times feelings are left hurt and relationships need to be mended.

Sounds like Loki…

With ill-intent, he advised the gods to allow have the stone Mason build the wall in exchange for Sunna, Mani, and Freya.

He thought it funny one drunken night to sheer Sif’s head.

Even more appropriate, this year Lokiblot is on Loki’s day.

Be well on this double trickster day.
