It’s all green

It’s April in North Carolina, and that means pollen.

Last year I wasn’t affected. This year? I need to buy stock in Kleenex.

Witchlette seems to be feeling the effects of the green haze as well.

She’s not unhappy, she’s just a snot monster. A jolly, green snot monster.

It won’t stop us from going outside!

Sorry to hear about the allergies…I know how you are feeling. I have discovered something a few years back that keep mine under control for the most part at least I can function without taking anything prescribed or OTC. Also good for colds and other things of that nature. 16 ounces of water with a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar in it….add a little honey until you can drink it alone. I know it sounds awful but it’s cheaper and better for you than other things that you can take. drink as quickly as possible (within the hour if possible, the quicker you drink it the quicker the affects) follow with the same amount right behind it. after that do it like you would a medication every 4 to 6 hours. After a day or two you can cut it back to 8 ounces of water and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar every 4 to 6 hours. for allergies I would like to recommend using a neti pot also to rinse the pollen from your nose. ( ). getting back to the water and vinegar….if you know what your symptoms are when you are getting sick, cold, sinus infection or bronchitis, etc. start drinking the combo as soon as you notice the symptoms and drink it faithfully and normally you can stop it completely or at least lessen the illness. If you are already sick then take it as above…like you would take an antibiotic every 4 to 6 hours for about two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend it for the baby though. I’m not saying you will always be able to go without needing antibiotics but it will lessen your need most times. I used to have to go to the dr. three or four times a year now it’s more like once every three or four years. Once you are well…maintain with 8 ounces of water and 2 tablespoons of the apple cider vinegar once or twice a day….I drink it with my meal like a beverage.
I hope you and the little one will be feeling better soon.

So happy to find a fellow North Carolinian Pagan! I have terrible allergies and over the years I’ve formulated some tips that will help,
I also recently stumbled upon a holistic remedy that I am trying for the first time this year, Pollen Defense by HerbPharm. If it helps I will add it to my tips. I hope you find relief, the pollen does get quite bad here and so many of the drugs, OTC and prescription can often have very negative side effects like depression among others.

Brightest Blessings to you and your snot monster!
    Brooke ❤

South Carolina Pagan here, and I feel your pain. I’ve never had allergies like I’ve had allergies this year. I heard it’s because we had that polar vortex, and the delay of warm weather has caused all the plants to bloom at once, but I’m not sure how true that it. Either way, I hope you start feeling on the up and up soon.
