It’s Time

Tonight is the home opener for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Our tickets are on the fridge with parking money.

The sandwiches we’ll eat on the way to the stadium are ready.

The jerseys are clean and laid out.

It’s time.

Hockey, for us, is more than just a game. It’s a community experience, a spiritual experience.

I can’t wait to introduce hockey to our child and our child to hockey.

Enjoy! It is much the same here, especially when we have our Canes fan friends over to watch on TV. I remember taking our little one to her first Pens game. Yeah, we’re Pens fans primarily, but we are also Canes fans…because of our friends here, plus another friend of mine from High School who actually works with the team (so jealous…he got to lift the cup too) And now you have 2 of the Staal brothers! Jordan is great in the penalty kill. Been following your blog…so sorry to hear about your aunt, but am happy to meet a fellow hockey fan too! Best wishes to the little one! πŸ˜€ Merry Meet and Blessed Be
